#freeourgirls

Are you familiar with #freeourgirls, simply 276 school girls that were taken on the night of April 14-15 2014 from a school in Chibok in Nigeria.

This is a personal insight / view, internet expression from the owner of a company in the UK that in all honesty feels more can and should and can be done for women of whatever age and nationality that have been suddenly forced into an environment not of their choosing.

After all normal human behavior is that you look after each other and respect each other, nothing more complicated than that, no politics or agenda should interfere with this… Full Stop… Is there any right to take girls or women into substitute?  No absolutely not.

Along with with the poor Yazidi women in Syria who have suffered tremendously at the hands of Daesh (my condescending term for Islamic State).  The school girls of Chibok have simply disappeared and apart from the odd celebrity plea on their plight, nothing really appears to have been achieved, in terms of securing their release, whether by negotiation or force.

#freeourgirls are school girls.  Young girls that went to school to learn; about mathematics, science, business studies, ‘horrible’ PT, woodcraft, religious studies etc….  and then one day a group of lunatics thought that it would be OK to just kidnap them.  And unfortunately like countless times before, dating back to 1939 all the way to the Rwandan Conflict, the taking of ladies  for whatever reason has seemed acceptable. It isn’t, and I know that my readers feel the same.

Nothing really has been head, are they OK, have then been sold off as local merchandise in a market or are they kept in awful conditions waiting for release.

If there is anything I have learnt from being a Christian, which the  vast majority of these girls were is that they have no intention of converting to another faith by force and they believe what they believe.

Along with with the poor Yazidi women in Syria who have suffered tremendously at the hands of Daesh. The school girls of Chibok have simply disappeared and apart from the odd celebrity plea on their plight, nothing really appears to have been achieved.

We just wanted to make you aware of this situation and that you keep these girls in you thoughts and prays for their safe release.
